Calling all budding animators! Why not come along to the Kudlian Software seminar to learn all you need to know to get you started with animation, and discover that it’s not as difficult as you may think! In this seminar you will see an overview of the award-winning title ‘I Can Animate’ and learn how easy the software is to use for students and teachers alike. I Can Animate is the perfect tool for a broad age range with its simple to use interface, yet powerful additional options such as onion-skinning and chroma key layer. These features allow more able or advanced students to produce movies of stunning quality. Come and see how easy it is to produce professional stop-frame animation movies that students will not only love to create but also serve as a great way to present their work, and make learning more fun!

In addition to this, extra resources from Kudlian such as the new Teachers Book, and HD Webcams will also be available to view.

Review Vital’s new Courses and explore ideas for developing sustainable models for ICT-CPD in a changing environment.

Vital is a collaborative programme for ICT CPD targeting teachers and support staff working in state primary and secondary schools in England. The Programme is led by the Open University and supported by the DfE. Vital engages with regional and national stakeholders to build on existing best practice.

Following work with CLCs in several regions, we hope to develop practical, sustainable projects following on from this Conference.
City Learning Centres face many challenges with uncertain funding and the potential break up of traditional service delivery models with the advent of Academies. Every threat is also an opportunity. In this session Gary will look at possible new business models for City Learning Centres using Open Source and Open Content to reduce costs and place the emphasis, not on equipment and premises, but on the skills of CLC staff in supporting their partner schools.

Gary Clawson is Chief Executive of the North West Learning Grid, a partnership of 17 Local Authorities and more than 2,000 schools. Earlier this year the North West Learning Grid won an e-government award for its work on the National Digital Resource Bank, the first Education sector Open Source project to be recognised by Cabinet Office.
